For over 50 years, few bands have captivated their audiences as well as Pink Floyd.
Now, Thought Control continue to entertain audiences of all ages by capturing this ambience with their tribute to Pink Floyd, a complete sound and light spectacle suited to music venues and theatres across the United Kingdom.
We have successfully recreated the intricate sound and visuals associated with Pink Floyd’s huge stadium performances, by bringing together experienced live musicians and state-of-the-art audio and lighting technology.
Our show is self-contained, equipped with a high-quality sound system and a plethora of lamps and lighting effects, which create the striking visuals to accompany and enhance the sound. Finally, adding video projections and lasers creates the complete “Floydian” experience!
Some three years and a pandemic ago, I felt that my previous Floyd tribute was long overdue a fresh start, hence Thought Control was born.
Over the past 30 years or so, I've been involved in several bands playing several instruments, both originals and covers, toured and recorded.
We're proud of the show we have put together, and enjoy playing both the expected classics, anthems and those special songs.
I've been involved in many bands over the past 30-odd years and have scratched many musical itches over that time, but the one major itch that needed resolving was being involved in a band that could play the music of Pink Floyd to a really high standard.
I'm really glad to say that this is that band.
Over the past decade, my career has taken me around the world; from performing in top European and Middle Eastern resorts to touring with the UK Black Eyed Peaz and Australian Bruce Springsteen Experience as well as original artists.
But now, it's time to return to my roots, and after joining Thought Control in 2020, I feel right at home.
I'm honoured pay tribute to Pink Floyd's incredible legacy in such a carefully crafted stage show.
In the past 15 years of playing bass I have been lucky enough to play many brilliant venues with the highest calibre of musicians.
I feel so privileged to now be recreating the work of one of the most influential bands the world has ever seen with a group of musicians I admire and respect, all at the top of their game.
I still get goosebumps when I see the stage and hear the sound they all make.
I am a multi-instrumentalist, performer/teacher/MD, having worked internationally for a couple of decades in hotels, resorts & on cruise ships.
I am proud to be a member of Thought Control and impressed with the dedication & attention to detail that the band achieves.
I started playing drums at age 11 when the school band needed a drummer and no-one else volunteered.
In the more than 40 years since, I have played hundreds of concerts and gigs covering orchestral, jazz, big band and theatre pit work, as well as the more usual gigging repertoire of rock, pop, soul, blues and the obligatory 'party' sets.
Having played in other bands with a number of the Thought Control line-up, I was thrilled to be invited to join and relishing the new (to me) challenge of replicating, in fine detail, the iconic drum parts laid down by the legendary Nick Mason.
It's also the perfect opportunity to bring out a massive drum kit!
I started singing at a very young age and have been lucky enough to sing most genres over the years from classical to jazz and pretty much everything in between.
It's been a blast working with this band, the talent within it is insane.
After discovering my love for music at an early age, I have been part of various originals and cover bands over the last 10 years.
Having been a huge Pink Floyd fan my entire life, it is truly an honour to be a member of this stunning tribute. The musical talent and direction in this band makes me proud to be recognised as part of the spectacle that is Thought Control.
I have worked internationally for many years as a vocalist, sax and percussion player.
I am delighted to be one of a group of highly talented musicians to present the legends that are Pink Floyd.
